PHI’s Global Health Leaders to participate in 70th World Health Assembly

May 17, 2017 | Global Health Fellows | This announcement first appeared on PHI's Global Health Fellow website.

Next week from May 22-31, 2017 at the 70th World Health Assembly (WHA) in Geneva, Global Health Leaders (GHL) will join global health professionals across the public, private, and non-profit sectors for discussions on World Health Organization policies related to non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

GHL’s partner, Medtronic Foundation, is sponsoring the International Diabetes Federation side event at the WHA, Access to Diabetes Medicines and Care in Underserved Populations: Patient, Health Workers, Government and Multilateral Perspectives on Policy. This event will highlight the central role of people with diabetes in all aspects of diabetes management, care and prevention, and will introduce its new network, the Blue Circle Voices. It will also feature the critical perspective of frontline health workers in achieving quality care and optimal health outcomes. RSVP for the event here.
