Drawing on her recent work with AIDS-orphaned and AIDS-affected children and adolescents in South Africa on violence prevention and her research comparing the biographical life experiences of people living with HIV in the U.S. and Germany, Lauren has strong experience in global and multidisciplinary research on health inequalities. Her research interests in alcohol and drug use research lie in the intersection between community, intervention, and physiological and genetic processes.
