Grants Submitted in Days—Instead of Weeks or Months

The Alcohol Research Group began more than thirty years ago, and  has produced over a thousand peer-reviewed scientific studies and publications on topics including alcohol addiction, treatment and prevention.

ARG has a very complicated grant portfolio. PHI’s grant submission team is nimble and flexible, so we can edit and submit grants in a few days or a week—compared to a month or longer at a university.

Since coming to PHI in 1997, we have received over $85 million in grants, including two large, long-term NIH grants.

That allowed ARG researchers to contribute to the policy debate on alcohol safety, to the evidence base for alcohol warning labels in the US, and to alcohol consumption guidelines around the world.
