Providing Recent Graduates with Training Opportunities to Learn from Leading Global Health Experts

As part of the program's unique model, all PHI/CDC Global Health Fellows are mentored by two CDC Mentors who are leading global experts in their fields, and who help to support Fellows as they participate and learn on the front lines of global health.

93% of PHI/CDC Fellows gained additional training in a variety of coursework in 2019

PHI/CDC Fellow stats - 2019 at a glanceAs part of the program’s unique model, all PHI/CDC Global Health Fellows are mentored by two CDC Mentors who are leading global experts in their fields. Along with mentorship, in 2019, 93% of Fellows gained additional training in a variety of coursework that ranged from language training to scientific writing courses to data analysis bootcamps. In addition, 74% of Fellows worked on publications in 2019 and 67% gave presentations.

These learning opportunities were conducted by a diverse group of universities and public health institutions, including UNAIDS, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, CDC, WHO Collaboration Centre, International Governance of Global Health at the University of Barcelona, and Royal Tropical Institute.
