Nutrition & Food Security

The Public Health Institute views nutrition and diet as fundamental building blocks to good health. We address nutrition, food security and the food system through a multitude of proven wellness strategies, including behavior change interventions, policy and advocacy, place-based approaches, school wellness programs, and working in tandem with community development and other sectors to increase access to affordable and local healthy fruits and vegetables. PHI uses research and evidence-based approaches through the lens of  health equity and social justice.
