Webinar 1: Background & Impacts on Children & Youth

Tuesday, December 10: 12-1:30pm PT

In this webinar, speakers will unveil the prevalence and impact of domestic violence, a long-shadowed topic in Asian American and Asian immigrant (AAAI) communities. Drawing from community practice, research evidence, and cultural norms and factors, we will discuss the background, current issues, and unique challenges of domestic violence and service access experienced within AAAI communities. Speakers will also explore how different forms of domestic violence impact the physical and mental health of AAAI children and families and what we can do to prevent, support, and advocate around this issue. This webinar will set the foundation for later webinars in the series on clinical interventions and community programs for victims of domestic violence.
